The Elegant Outrageousness of Silvia Nakkach

One of the pioneers in the Sound Healing field, an amazing artist, and a woman of vision, Silvia Nakkach has touched many hearts and minds with her spontaneity and creativity.

I met Silvia Nakkach some years ago and since she has become an inspiring example of someone who follows and materializes her visions, and appreciates good music regardless of labels. Silvia is always on the go: traveling and teaching classes. She just finished recording her new CD Music Medicine and just finished her  book Free Your Voice to be published by Sounds True.

Despite her limited free time, Silvia never forgets to sing and to cultivate deep listening to sound textures.

The blog Sounds Brazilian had the pleasure to be with her on her birthday. We talked about being crosscultural, and what it means to make art. During this magical evening she shared personal stories, and her thoughts on the book Dharma Art (Chogyan Trungpa Rinpoche).

Feel free with Silvia and enjoy the video below with some of her thoughts:

In our next post we will show a video of a moving moment of the evening…Silvia Nakkach and me singing together.
